Under the guidance of Major General UKDDP Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc Commander Security Forces (West) an insightful lecture on online gambling and cyber awareness was held on 02 July 2025 as part of the Wednesday Training Programme at 1 SLAOC Lecture Hall,. The session was conducted by Major MI Marikkar MIC, a senior officer specializing in media and psychological operations.
The lecture focused on the rising threat of online gambling and its implications for military personnel, including financial loss, addiction, and potential cyber vulnerabilities. Key topics included recognizing online gambling traps, safeguarding personal and military data, and practicing responsible digital behavior. Participants were urged to remain vigilant and avoid engaging in illegal or unethical online activities. A total of 07X 87 Military personnel from various units under Security Forces Headquarters (West) actively took part in the interactive session.
