Lt Col S R A M S G Rathnayaka RSP USP psc IG SLA assumed duties as the General Staff Officer 1 (Ops) of Security Forces Headquarters (West) on 16 Jan 2026 on an auspicious time having the blessings of the Noble Triple Gem. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Security Forces Headquarters (West) extended their wishes to the newly appointed General Staff Officer 1 (Ops) on the assumption of duties of the new appointment.
