More Than 1000 Army Personnel Fight Against Dengue
More than 1000 members of the Army, hand in hand with municipal workers, local politicians, Police, STF and Civil Security Department personnel, are currently engaged in the Dengue prevention campaign under the Presidential Task Force in the Colombo District.
A section of those troops of the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West), prior to their commitment in the project, received training on Dengue prevention with the assistance of Ministry of Health and Colombo Municipal Council.
This Presidential Task Force on Dengue, comprised of many tri-service personnel has been touring vulnerable areas in the past five days. The public is urged to keep their surroundings free from garbage and stagnant water.
