The 72nd Army Day Celebrations at Security Forces Headquarters (West) was held on 10th October 2021 with the participation of Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Security Forces (West), Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks serving at the Headquarters premises.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of the Army Flag while singing the Army Anthem followed by observing two-minute silence in honour of all Fallen War Heroes who made the supreme sacrifice for safe-guarding the sovereignty and the territorial integrity of the motherland. Thereafter, the Army Commander's Message was read to mark 72 years of success in protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Subsequently, on the concept of the Commander of the Army “Thuru Mithuru Nawa Ratak” and event of planting Kumbuk Saplings was held at the SFHQ (West) premises.
