GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF 61 INFANTRY DIVISION MADE HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO 612 INFANTRY BRIGADE

After assuming duties as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 61 Infantry Division, Major General H M U Herath RWP RSP USP hdmc psc made his first official visit to 612 Infantry Brigade and its under-command Battalions including 12 Field Sri Lanka Engineers and 1 Sri Lanka Army Pioneer Corps on 13 January 2023 respectively.

During the visit, the Brigade Commander and the Commanding Officers in respective camps received the visiting General Officer Commanding after he was saluted in Guards Turnout on the arrival in keeping with military traditions. Then, the General Officer Commanding attended for a comprehensive briefings, conducted by the Brigade Commander and respective Commanding Officers on their operational and administrative matters.

Similarly, the General Officer Commanding was invited to plant saplings inside the respective camp premises to mark his first formal visit.

Few staff officers of 61 Infantry Division Headquarters accompanied the General Officer Commanding during the visit.
