Commander SF (West) Maj Gen S Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc did a field visit on 29 and 30 Oct 2015 after assuming command. In that the commander visited Headquarters 14 Div at Attidiya, Headquarters 142 Bde at Kohuwala and Bn Headquarters 6 GW at Mattakkuliya, VPs manned by 6 GW and Bn Headquarters 26 SLNG Kosgama. \r\n\r\nOn arrival at Headquarters 14 Div, Attidiya, the GOC Brig P J Gamage RWP RSP USP warmly welcomed the Commander and the guard turnout was presented by 4 VIR troops. Thereafter GOC conducted his briefing to the Commander on the deployment, duties and tasks assign to the Div and it\'s under command formations. \r\n\r\nAt 1045 hrs Commander addressed all Officers and Other Ranks at the Conference Hall and finally he visited the Camp and its premises. \r\n\r\nAt 1230 hrs Commander arrived to Headquarters 142 Bde. Commander was received by the Commander 142 Bde Brig DMHD Bandara RWP USP followed by his briefing. Thereafter the Commander visited the camp premises and departed to 6 GW at Mattakkuliya.\r\n\r\nThe Commander arrived at Bn Headquarters 6 GW at 1530 hrs. The Commanding Officer of 6 GW Lt Col WMPWNDB Weerakoon RSP warmly welcomed the Commander to his premises followed by a briefing on the duties and tasks assigned to the Battalion. Finally Commander visited the camp and VPs guard by 6 GW. GOC 14 Div and Comd 142 Bde accompanied the Commander. \r\n
