Due to rapid spread of dengue fever in the western province, troops serving the Security Force Headquarters (west) organized a Dengue prevention campaign at Panagoda army cantonment on 22 October 2021.
The campaign was successfully carried out with participation of More than 200 soldiers who are serving in the army cantonment Panagoda, together with two teams of the Field assistant unit of Dengue prevention in order to cleaned up the Army cantonment premises with the assistance of Divisional Pablic Health Inspector.
On the direction of the commander Security Forces (West) , the campaign was successfully conducted liaison with the MOH office, Homagama. Regional director of health services Colombo Dr Dilip Liyanage, Supervising Public Health Inspector- Colombo Divisional Mr M L Perera, Brigadier Admin and Quartering Security Forces (West) Brig G D R U K Galhenage, senior Officers, Officers of the Security Forces (West) closely supervised the programme.
