On 20 June 2024, the Awasaya and Alms Hall consecration ceremony at Sri Vijayarama Temple in Nittambuwa took place. The event saw the participation of Major General SWM Fernando WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, the Commander of Security Forces (West).
The Supreme Venerable Mahanayaka Makulewe, Sri Vimalabhidhana Thero of the Sri Lanka Ramanna Nikaya, presided over the ceremony. Among the distinguished attendees were the State Minister of Transport and Highways and the Inspector General of Police.
