COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) UNDERTAKES A FIELD VISIT IN PANALUWA

Major General D.M.K.D.B. Pussella RWP RSP, Commander Security Forces (West), made a field visit to Panaluwa Field Firing Range on 12 July 2023, in order to inspect the proposed location where the new Battalion Training School of Security Forces (West) will be established in the near future.

Thereby, the Commander, Security Forces (West) witnessed the location of the 15 Drone Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and the land areas belonging to the Army Firing Range at Panaluwa.

During his visit, he paid close attention to several key factors that would impact the success of the deployment of the Battalion Training School. Specifically, he was keenly interested in the existing structures and facilities at the location, including the training grounds, administrative buildings, and accommodation facilities. He also evaluated the accessibility and security of the area.

In addition, he also passed down the necessary instructions to the responsible officers on the continuation of the establishment of the new Battalion Training School process. Further, he emphasized the importance of effective coordination and cooperation between ground troops and different branches of the Security Forces (West) during the new deployment.

The Commander, 142 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of Security Forces Headquarters (West), Deputy General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division, several Staff Officers from Security Forces Headquarters (West) and Senior Officers accompanied the West Commander during the day's visit.
