COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) MADE HIS FIRST FORMAL VISIT TO BRIGADE, UNITS AND TRAINING CENTRE OF MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT AS THE COLONEL OF THE REGIMENT

Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, Commander Security Forces (West), after assuming office as the 14th Colonel of the Regiment of the Mechanized Infantry Regiment made his first official visit to the Mechanized Infantry Brigade, 1st, 2nd, 5th Battalions of Mechanized Infantry Regiment and Mechanized Infantry Training Centre on 08 and 09 February 2023 respectively.

During the visit, the visiting Commander took time off to inspect the camp premises and the welfare of the soldiers. Further, he shared a few thoughts with all ranks and also appreciated the commitment of troops who rendered their potential service in the present scenario and directed officers and Other Ranks to render their invaluable service in the future too. In addition, he also instructed the responsible officers on how to maintain the camp and expand infrastructure facilities in the future.

Commander, Mechanized Infantry Brigade, Brigadier B P G K Balasooriya RSP psc, Centre commandant, Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre, Brigadier A M A Abeyasinghe RWP RSP USP psc, Commander, 552 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K W Jayaweera USP psc and few Staff Officers of Mechanized Infantry Regimental Centre accompanied the Colonel of the Regiment during the visit.
