COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (WEST) HOSTS A COORDINATING CONFERENCE AT THE SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WEST)

The Commander Security Forces (West) and the Overall Operation Commander for the Western Province and Puttalam District, Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP presided a security coordination conference to streamline some salient points pertaining to the security in liaison with sister services with the participation of General Officer Commandings, Brigade Commanders, Sector Commanders and Commanding Officers at the Security Forces Headquarters (West) on 06 June 2022.

During the discussion, as the Overall Operation Commander, the Commander Security Forces (West) discussed several significant aspects such as the importance of educating all under command formations on the Rules of Engagement (ROE), the present context of the security situation and the importance of joint military coordination with sister services as ground commanders, difficulties in coordinating with sister services, Police and STF and administrative difficulties need to be projected to OCDS/ AHQ, etc. Further, needy instructions were given to resolve the existing issues on admin matters and stated to take necessary steps to strengthen the security within the AOR.

Air Vice - Marshal K D G N Jayasinghe Msc psc Base Commander SLAF Rathmalana, Brigadier K W S Perera RWP Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters (West), and a few Staff Officers of Security Forces Headquarters (West) also participated at the conference.
