COMMANDER 143 INFANTRY BRIGADE TAKE OVER DUTIES

Brigadier KADTP Wimalasena RWP RSP assumed the role of the 9th Commander of the 143 Infantry Brigade on 22 March 2024, at the Brigade Headquarters in Puttalam. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the brigade staff, and a guard turnout was presented at the entrance. Following traditional customs, the newly appointed Brigade Commander officially assumed his duties at the Brigade Commander’s office amidst pirith chanting, a sacred Buddhist ritual, and a sapling was planted to commemorate the occasion.

In his address to the troops, the Brigade Commander articulated his vision for the future, emphasizing the importance of unity and dedication to the brigade's mission. The series of events concluded with an all-ranks tea, during which the Brigade Commander engaged in discussions and interactions with the troops, fostering a sense of camaraderie and solidarity within the brigade.
