COLONEL COMMANDANT SRI LANKA ARMY GENERAL SERVICE CORPS MADE AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO ARMY TRADE SCHOOL - KUTTIGALA

Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps and the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D.M.K.D.B. Pussella RWP RSP made his first Official Visit to the Trade School - Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps at Kuttigala on 25 July 2023, after assuming his office as the Colonel Commandant, Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps.

Thereby, The Commandant and all staff members of the school warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant by honoring him with a Guard Turnout. Then, as a part of the visit, the Colonel Commandant was invited to plant a sapling within the school premises, symbolizing the school's growth and development. Afterwards,addressing the instructors at the conference hall, the Colonel Commandant emphasized several key factors, including the method of instruction, instructor qualities and the necessity of improving the constant training, etc.

Subsequently, the school's Commandant, Colonel D.M.T.C. Dissanayake presented a comprehensive briefing to the Colonel Commandant on the various roles, responsibilities, training programmes, the courses offered at the Trade School and the administration matters allowing the Colonel Commandant to gain a deeper understanding of the school's operations and its contribution to the development of the skilled professionals.

Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant inspected the surrounding of the camp, the welfare of the instructors and the students and several key places at the school. Meanwhile, he also instructed the responsible Officers on how to maintain the camp and expand infrastructure facilities in the future.

To commemorate this special occasion, a photograph was taken with the Colonel Commandant alongside the entire staff of the Trade School. The visit was concluded with an All-Rank lunch, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity among the attendees.
