The Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) President, Mrs. Janaki Liyanage with the intention of receiving an update and inquiring into the welfare of the kids learning at the ASVU-managed 'Viru Kekulu' Pre-school at Panagoda made a visit to the location on Monday 29 August 2022.
Upon arrival there, she was welcomed by a pre-school daughter offering a traditional sheaf of betel along with members of the administrative and teaching staff. Inside the class room, she mingled with those kids, spoke to them and distributed milk packets among them.
She also shared a couple of views and observations with pre-school authorities for improvement and inquired into some functional aspects with keen interest. 'Viru Kekulu' administrators and teachers, appreciative of Mrs. Liyanage's visit to the pre-school, awarded a special memento to her before her exit to the nearby ASVU's beauty saloon.
At the beauty saloon, she spoke to the beauty culture experts working there and inquired into the status quo, progress and their requirements to further improve standards.
Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP, the Commander Security Forces (West), together with his spouse, Mrs. Himali Pussella, a senior member in charge of the 'Viru Kekulu' pre-school Panagoda, Brigadier D A Amarasekara USP, Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Forces (West), Colonel Coordination at Army Seva Vanitha Unit, Senior Officers, Officers and Other ranks were associated with the visit.
