144 Brigade troops of the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) lent their assistance for a ‘Shramadana’ campaign at Borella Gothami Temple on Friday (8) to coincide with the World Environmental Day.
The ‘Shramadana’ campaign got underway in response to a request, made by the chief incumbent to the Brigade Commander of the 144 Brigade. A group of 20 Army personnel took part in the project and cleaned the temple premises within a few hours on Friday (8).
Upon completion of the project, the incumbent monk invoked blessings on the Army, Commander of the Army, Commander, Security Forces - West and all serving personnel during a brief oration.
