ANOTHER COMMUNITY WORK FROM WEST TROOPS

The historical Esala festival of Devinuwara Upulwan Dewalaya was commenced from 05 August 2022 and it will be held until 20 August 2022. Subsequently,as per the request made by the Basnayake Nilame of the Devinuwara Upulawan Dewalaya a shramadana campaign was organized by 613 Infantry Brigade in order to repair the wahalkada of Upulawan Dewalaya as it has been discolored and the roof was in a dilapidated condition.

As per the instructions and the supervision of the Commander 613 Infantry Brigade, Colonel K V I L Jayaweera USP, the roof and the walls of the Wahalkada were repaired and painted on 4 August 2022 with the fully contribution of Officers and Other Ranks of 613 Infantry Brigade and 3 (v) Gamunu watch.

Further, the materials and paints for renovation have been provided by the Devinuwara Dewalaya.
