ANOTHER CHARITY EVENT ORGANIZED BY 14 VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH ITS 15TH ANNIVERSARY

In parallel to the 15th anniversary of the 14 Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, another charity programme was organized by the Army personnel of the 14 Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, including Pirith Chanting followed by Alms Giving ( Heel Dana) for the 14 monks of Abesinharamaya Temple, Colombo on 03 and 04 January 2023 at camp premises - Tripoli.

This programme arranged with the intention of remembering the Officers and Other Ranks of the 14 Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, who made the supreme sacrifice with their lives during the humanitarian operation in the Wanni area.

The programme has been initiated by the Commanding Officer of 14 Battalion the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Maj P A T Niroshan, under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding the 14 Infantry Division, Major General J M R N K Jayamanna RWP and Commander 142 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K R P Jayasinghe RWP RSP USP, with the blessing of the Commander Security Forces (West), Major General D M K D B Pussella RWP RSP.

Officers and Other Ranks belongs to 14 Battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment participated in the event.
