613 INFANTRY BRIGADE MARKED ITS 12 ANNIVERSARY BY OFFERING OF LUNCH TO ORPHANS

613 Infantry Brigade established on 20 January 2011 marked its 12 anniversary on 20 January 2023. Thereby, several programmes have been launched on the guidelines given by the Commander 613 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier K V I L Jayaweera USP.

In line with the anniversary, 613 Infantry Brigade launched a noble programme by offering delicious lunch and providing gift packs to the children at ‘Neth Nena’ Orphanage, Matara on 19 January 2023 under the patronage of the Commander 613 Infantry Brigade.

Besides the programme, participants also witnessed several entertainment events which were presented by the children of the orphanage.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and Staff of the orphanage participated in the day’s event with the blessing of the Commander, Security Forces (West) and the General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division.
