At the request of Major General RAJN Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, General Officer Commanding of the 61 Infantry Division and Kahagolle Somarathana Thero of Sidhuhath Foundation Galle provided 200 packets of sanitary napkin and 1000 bottles of drinking water to distribute among 242 members belong to 72 families affected by floods who temporary live in Hittetiya Rajamaha Temple in Matara.
613 Infantry Brigade Commander and Commanding Officer of 3(V) Gemunu Watch also attend the program.Meanwhile, The General Officer Commanding of 61 Infantry Division visited the homes and properties of affected people and listened to the other difficulties faced by them.Further ,he directed to provide transport facilities for the affected students who facing the grade five scholarship examination scheduled to be held on 15 October 2023.
