The 57 Infantry Division launched a mango tree planting initiative in celebration of Sri Lanka’s 77th Independence Day under the guidance and supervision of Major General W M P M Wijesooriya RWP, RSP, ndu, the General Officer Commanding of the 57 Infantry Division. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with Rev. Fr. Thusitha Priyanga.
The event, held on 04 February 2025 at the Pangolla Camp premisses, saw the planting of over 100 mango saplings. The saplings were provided by the Janasetha Foundation, and the program was attended by 20 Officers and 100 Other Ranks from the division.
