Army personnel From 2 (v) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry under 144 Infantry Brigade of Security Forces (West) contributed their manpower to conduct a ‘Kiri Amma Danaya’ at Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya for around 1000 mothers on 08 July 2023.
The project was organized by several government authorities, and Army personnel assisted the project by preparing Alms and distributing them among the mothers.
Request from the government authorities, one Officer and 50 Other Ranks involved in this noble project with the directions of the Commander Security Forces (West). Meanwhile, the Commander of the 144 Infantry Brigade and the Commanding Officer of 2 (v) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry closely monitored the Army's participation in the event.
Further, the Army personnel's dedication and efforts in carrying out this noble project were highly appreciated by the government authorities and the organizers of the event.
