In view of the miserable living condition of a family consisting of a father, mother and four children residing in the Kurikotuwa Grama Niladari Division of Veyangoda, 141 Infantry Brigade troops of the 14 Infantry Division under the Security Force (West) provided dry rations, worth about 15000/= at their expense as a community project.
Dry ration packs contained rice, dhal, spices, cereals, dry fish, milk powder packets, etc and the project was totally coordinated by the Commander 141 Brigade with the Blessing of Commander Security Forces (West).
Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer of 141 Infantry Brigade and Other Ranks were present when those relief packs were given to the family after visiting their doorstep on 28 February 2023.
Further, the house where this low-income family lives has been suddenly burnt down on 25 February 2023.
