With the intention of strengthening the civil military cooperation along with the ‘Army Way Forward Strategy 2020 - 2025’ a community project was launched upon monetary donation received by the ‘Sewanak Wemu’ Foundation (NGO) in order to distribute educational accessories for needy students studying at Halpe Ekanayake College in Divulapitiya with the coordination of Civil Affairs Officer of the 141 Infantry Brigade on 20 Dec 21.
The project was launched under the close supervision of the Brigade Commander of 141 Infantry Brigade with the direction of General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division and the Commander Security Forces (West). Thereby, each student belongs to the low income families were received a school bag and 15 books (120 Pgs). Total amount of the donation more than Rs 156,000.00.
The Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, Civil Affairs Officer of 141 Infantry Brigade, the Secretary of ‘Sewanak Wemu Foundation’ Mrs Sabeetha Vindani Sarap, the principal, parents, teachers and students joined the event.
