A workshop on 'Drug Prevention' to the troops under command to the 14 Division HQ got underway at the 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment HQ at Kelanimulla on Friday (21) on the directions of the General officer Commanding, 14 Division.
15 officers and 152 Other Ranks attended this workshop, conducted by a group of Police officers, Senior Superintendent of Police Manjula Senarath, Superintendent of Police Nishantha Silva, Superintendent of Police Jagath Rohana and the Inspector of Police K. Premarathne.
Troops learned about drugs, their effects and how a roadblock is manned to detect drugs, etc.
