Army Personnel of 144 Infantry Brigade under 14 Infantry Division of Security Forces (West) organized a workshop on ‘Riot Control’ including training and demonstrations at the 2 (V) Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry camp premises in Kelanimulla from 4 to 12 October 2022.
This timely important workshop has been conducted on the Instructions of the Commander Security Forces (West) and all the necessities for the workshop were properly arranged at the location by the Army personnel of 144 Infantry Brigade with the close supervision of the General Officer Commanding 14 Infantry Division, Commander 144 Infantry Brigade and Commanding Officer of 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry.
Around 40 Army Personnel of 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry together with 40 soldiers of Sri Lanka Army Women Corps including 6 Officers have followed this timely important 7-day workshop and Army personnel of 2 (V) Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry who were expertise within the subjects have conducted lectures and discussions besides field training activities.
During the workshop, Army personnel were educated on both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the role and tasks of emergency responses for Riot Control and unarmed combat fighting.
