A program to distribute dry rations and essential relief items to families affected by adverse weather conditions in Kalmaadunagar, Periyakulam, and Thadduvankoddy in Kilinochchi was conducted on 04 December 2025.
The event was attended by the General Officer Commanding of the 55 Infantry Division, Major General Aruna Wijekoon USP ndc, Brigade Commander of the 553 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Prasad Muthunayake, the GA - Kilinochchi, the Assistant Director of the DMC, and the DS - Kandavalai.
During the program, officials engaged in identifying further assistance required to support the affected communities and assessed prevailing risk conditions in the area.
