52 Infantry Division troops under the supervision of Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna) conductedmultipledisaster-responseandpublic-healthoperationsacrosstheareaofresponsibility on 04 December 2025.
Troops of the 11 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment cleaned a contaminated public well in the Thondamannaruareaatrequestoflocalresidentsanddistributed30mealpacketstoflood-affected families in the Thondamannaru GN Division. Meanwhile, the 4 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment provided 200 meal packs to disaster-displaced families in Katkovalam.
The 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment assisted by removing waste water from flooded wells and water-logged areas, helping restore essentialsanitation. Troopsofthe 10 (Volunteer) Vijayaba Infantry Regiment conductedaclean-upoperationat St. Anthony’sPre-School, MaradankernyThalayadi, which had sustained significant flood damage.
Additionally, the 11 Field Sri Lanka Engineers facilitated the relocation of approximately 320 families (1,000 + individuals) to pre-identified safety centers and supplied drinking water to five centers on the request of the GramaNiladhari.
