Empowering Little Hearts and Minds - 51 Infantry Division Uplifts Education in Jaffna

Under the strategic direction of Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division, a Civil Military Coordination activity was conducted in Jaffna on 27th September 2025. The event focused on uplifting the welfare of under privileged communities through a school items distribution programme for eighty school children selected from low income families held at the Karugampanai Community Centre. This initiative reflects the Sri Lanka Army’s continued commitment to humanitarian outreach and social responsibility in post conflict regions. The activity fostered goodwill and trust between the military and the local civilian population.

The event was further dignified by the presence of Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division who graced the occasion as the chief guest with presence of Brigadier SW Arachchige - Commander 513 Infantry Brigade, Mr Norbert Udayakumar - Zonal Educational Director, Jaffna, Mr. T. Pushpaharan – Principal of Naguleshwaram Maha Vidyalaya and Mr. Rajeewan - Principal of Marisankudal Subramaniam Vidyalaya. His presence underscored the Army's deep commitment to the well-being and development of the civilian population in the Northern Province.
