With the noble aim of empowering the future generation, the 51 Infantry Division, under the strategic guidance and visionary leadership of Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 51 Infantry Division, organized a school bags and books donation programme for the top achievers of the 2024 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination. The event was held at the headquarters of the 51 Infantry Division and benefited 10 outstanding students from the Jaffna area. This initiative marks a meaningful step towards encouraging and supporting their continued educational journey.
The event was graced by the Commanders of the 512 and 513 Infantry Brigades, senior officers, officers, Deputy Zonal Education Directors of Jaffna and Walikamam, principals, teachers and parents. Financial sponsorship was generously provided by the Vanni Aid Organization, coordinated by Major General Ravi Rathnasingham (Retd). Refreshments were served to all participants at the end of the programme by the 51 Infantry Division.
