The Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) celebrated the Vesak Commemorations 2025 on 12 May, symbolizing religious harmony and spiritual prosperity, under the direction and guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna).The event was organized by the troops of the Security Forces (Jaffna), who decorated the 'T' Junction, surrounding roads and military establishments with multi-coloured Vesak lanterns. In addition, a Vesak lantern competition has been scheduled to take place at the 'T' Junction on 13 May 2025.
As part of the celebrations, a ‘Vesak Dansala’ was also organized at the same location, where meals were provided to over 2,000 civilians in the area. Government officials, together with the Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna), participated in the inauguration ceremony of the event.
With the leadership and guidance of Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath, RWP RSP ndu psc Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), the Commander Log Command (Jaffna), Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin and Quartering, staff officers and all Commanding Officers of affiliated battalions and Logistic Battalions extended their fullest support to success the Vesak Festival on a grand scale.
