Major General GLSW Liyanage USP psc assumed duties as the Commander of Logistics Command, Security Forces (Jaffna), amidst religious blessings and military formalities on 30 September 2024.
The newly appointed Commander was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers of the Logistics Command and Commanding Officers of under command battalions. After planting a sapling in front of the Headquarters of Logistics Command, he posed for a group photo with all Officers and Other Ranks of Logistics Command (Jaffna).
Afterwards, the new Commander in his new offices was invited to symbolically sign an official documents to mark the assumption of his duties. Later on, the new Commander addressed all Officers and Other Ranks where he expressed his vision.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Logistics Command and Commanding Officers of Logistics Battalions were present during the day’s event.
