In line with upcoming 75th Anniversary of Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army inaugurated a new gymnasium at 553 Infantry Brigade premises on 25 August 2024.
Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces (Jaffna) provided much required guidance while Major General R.K.N.C Jayawardene RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division and Colonel W.A.I.S Mendis RSP USP, Commander, 553 Infantry Brigade supervised the project.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks joined the inauguration highlighting the significance of this new facility in enhancing the well-being and fitness of the Army personnel serving in the Brigade.
