Under the visionary leadership of the Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, and guidance of Major General RKNC Jayawardena RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division, 552 Infantry Brigade organized a Grade 5 Scholarship seminar at KLY/Jayapuram School, Poonaryn, on 10 August 2024. The event was supervised by Colonel CD Welageda USP IG, Commander of the 552 Infantry Brigade, and supported by the 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 2 Sri Lanka National Guard.
Lieutenant Colonel RRS Dehigala SLSR, the Civil Affairs Officer, 552 Infantry Brigade coordinated the event and Mrs. Sharmika Kuweju, the owner of ‘Sha Ceylon’, generously donated school accessories for students. Totally 251 students participated in the seminar and each benefited from the educational resources provided and the engaging activities designed for their development. Throughout the day, the students enjoyed delicious and healthy meals from morning tea to lunch, with an Ice Cream adding a refreshing conclusion to the event.
