Upon the invitation of the Commandant of the National Defence College, Major General DGS Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, visited the National Defence College on 09 August 2024, contributing his expertise to the National Security and Strategic Studies Course (NS&SS) 03/2024 within the International Security Module.
The distinguished academic and the scholar presented a comprehensive lecture on “The new world order’s influence on military conflicts and its implication for international security”. All students were inspired by the speech, in which the speaker shared his expertise, knowledge and experience of over 35 years of Military life. The questions and answers session fittingly facilitated the student officers to get their doubts clarified where the enthusiastic participants actively interacted with the speaker to clear their doubts.
A set of forty one Senior Officers of the Armed Forces and Sri Lanka Police including eight foreign military officers, 5 representing Saudi Arabia, 1 each from Bangladesh, India and Oman attended the session.
At the end, the visiting lecture had a courtesy call on the Commandant of the National Defence College at his office.
