33 patients of the Thalaseemia Unit of General Hospital, Anuradhapura visited Security Forces (Jaffna) on 6th and 7th July 2024. The patients were accompanied by Dr.Hendawitharana and Staff Officers of the Headquarters, Security Forces (Jaffna) warmly welcomed them at the Railway Station of Kankesanthurai.
Under the direction and guidance of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), the visit was coordinated with transport facility and the patients had an amazing opportunity to visit Thalsevana Army Resort, Dambakola Patuna, Keeramalei, Naguleshwaran Kovil, most point PPD, Nagadeepa Temple, Jaffna Port, Nallur Kovil and famous Rio Ice Cream shop.
During the Visit, they also got the opportunity to night stay at the Nagawiharaya Temple, lunch with entertainment accompanied by calypso rhythm at the Thalsevana Army Resort. The patients and the Hospital Staff paid their gratitude to the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and the Staff for being so generous in hosting them during the 2-day’s visit to Jaffna.
