In order to promote reconciliation and harmony among the people in Killinochchi area, 55 Infantry Division organized a free food distribution on charitable purposes “Dansala” in front of Headquarters, 55 Infantry Division on 21 June 2024. This was organized under the directions and guidance of Major General RKNC Jayawardene RSP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division and approximately 2,000 individuals benefited the "Rice Dansela".
Deputy Inspector General of Killinochchi Division Mr. DG Saman De Silva, the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division Major General R.K.N.C Jayawardene RSP ndc, Senior Superintendent of Police, Killinochchi Mr. Upula Seneviratne, Deputy General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers and Other Rankers of 55 Infantry Division attended for the programme.
