The statue of Our Lady of Madhu is being taken on procession to parishes of the Dioceses in Jaffna Peninsula from 06 April to 30 April. The statue has been progressed through the High Security Zone of Palaly Army Cantonment Premises in the Morning hours on 17 April.
Under the guidance and instructions of Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Force (Jaffna) 300 Army troops including all Catholics devotees lined either side of the designated road, extending a warm and respectful reception to Our Lady of Madhu.
Brigadier KJNMPK Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu, Brigadier General Staff coordinated the event, and Rev. Fathers and the coordinating committee highly appreciated the effort taken by the military in welcoming Our Lady of Madhu.
