Jaffna Commander, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, met the Hon. Governor for Northern Province, Mrs. P.S.M. Charles on 19th February 2024 at Governor’s Secretariat.
During the meeting, Jaffna Commander briefed the Governor on the security and humanitarian activities persist under his leadership in Jaffna and Kilinochchi. The Governor expressed her concern over developing skills of women led families assisting them financially to uplift their well-being. Further she requested the Jaffna Commander to build market opportunities to sell Palmyra products directly to the consumers (DTC retail model) at the local market.
Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier KJNMPK Nawarathne RWP RSP ndu, Brigade Commander, 512 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier MPSP Kulasekara WWV RWP RSP and Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs, Colonel UI Jayathilake also associated with the official meeting.
