Jaffna Security Forces Commander Visits to Army Base Hospital Palali

Security Forces Commander Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc made his maiden official visit to the Army Base Hospital, Palali on 16th February 2024. The Commanding Officer of the Hospital Major Chinthaka Wijesinghe warmly welcomed the Commander, following the military traditions. Logistic Commander Major General Menaka Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Brigadier General Staff Brigadier Priyantha Nawarathne RWP RSP ndu and Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier Kausal Weerasinghe USP also attended at the visit.

Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe initiated the visit by planting a sapling as a symbolic gesture and had a field visit to inspect the hospital premises. Further, he attentively listened to the patients who were under treatment at the wards.

After that, he addressed the gathering and appreciated their service despite of constrains. After the cordial discussion, he instructed Logistic Commander and Security Forces Headquarters staff to look after their interests and immediately resolve their matters. Further, he seeks their full commitment for the promotion of health among Army personnel and acknowledged their contributions to uphold the physical and mental well-being of the soldiers and emphasized his unwavering support for their mission.
