In order to enhance sports talent among Jaffna youths and to establish an excellent relationship between the Army and the public, the 51 Infantry Division organized a football match at the CIMIC Park of Headquarters 51 Infantry Division on 01 February 2024.
In this match, the Yogapuram Anna star football team and the Selvapuram Udayasooriyan football team participated. SelvapuramUdayasooriyan football team conquered the championship trophy. In addition to this match, kite-flying events and dancing programs were held. More than thousand people participated and witnessed this festival.
Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndupsc graced this occasion the Chief Guest and gave away prizes, trophies and medals to the winning team.
In the meantime, General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, Major General SWB Welegedara RSP VSV USP ndc, Commander 511 Infantry Brigade, senior officers, and commanding officers also participated.
