Having the noble objective “The education is the best investment to the future”, the 4th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 52 Infantry Division and 521 Infantry Brigade piloted a donation programme at J/ Puloly (East) Government Tamil Mixed School in Point Pedro on 16 December 2023 with patronage of donors, who volunteered from the Component section of Colombo Harbor Limited Company.
The children received gift packs comprised many substances specially contained with exercise books, stationary items, school bags, shoe pairs to each student with the sufficient quantities for next education year of 2024. Other than that, the donors were thoughtful to repair and handover the children’s park of the school and donated may sports items, cleaning equipment to the school. Further, the children were amused with ‘Santa dance’ by sharing chocolate and ice creams to all students at the end of the programme. The team headed by Mr HM Mendis and workshop Engineer Mr MA Munasingha from Colombo Harbor Public Limited Company.
