Fallen War Heroes of Poonarin Attack Remembered

A "Bodi Pooja Pinkama" ( meritorious act) was organized to offer blessings to the brave soldiers, who paid the supreme sacrificed in the name of the motherland and maimed during the battle in Poonarin attack two decades ago, on 11 November 1993 by the troops of 552 Infantry Brigade under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces Jaffna, Major General SRK Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc and General Officer Commanding, 55 Infantry Division, Major General RKNC Jayawardena RSP ndc.

The Pooja organized under the supervision of the Commander 552 Infantry Brigade concluded with the offering of Atapirikara to the priest who conducted the Dhamma sermon.
