A House Vested to a Well-Deserved Family by Troops of Jaffna

Home is a dream of an every human being, however this dream of a house could be achieved by very few during their life time. In this backdrop, Imagine Compassion International Ltd - Australia (INGO) has initiated necessary action to organize required funds in order to build the house for innocent family, who has lost the attention and love of husband for the wife and farther for three female children as the 771 house of the construction project.

With the fund available of the aforesaid INGO, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc has directed 523 Infantry Brigade and 11 Field Engineer Regiment with the necessary formal approval of Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna and Army Headquarters to provide required technical and Labor support for the construction of this dream house. With necessary guidance and directions, troops of 11 Field Engineer Regiment and technical assistance by 5 Sri Lanka Engineer Service troops were able to complete this task within 02 months.

The handing over ceremony of newly construction house for its owner has been organized on 14 October 2023, with the participation of Commander, Security Forces Headquarters – Jaffna, Major General SRK Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division, Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of the 523 Infantry Brigade, Colonel MBL Perera RSP USP psc, Commanding Officer 11 Sri Lanka Engineers, Lieutenant Colonel KGCK Kudagamage with troops, representatives of other Senior Officers of Sri Lanka Army, representatives of INGO and civilians of the village.
