Officers and Other Ranks serving under 55 Infantry Division in Kilinochchi witnessed a valuable lecture on ‘Mines and Minerals Act’ on 26th September. It was organized by the 4 Military Intelligence Corps at the auditorium of 55 Infantry Division.
The lecture, organized in view of improving the soldiers knowledge on existing civil laws and acts, was jointly delivered by Assistant Director Legal Geological Survey and Mines Bureau Mr. EH Ranjith Priyantha and Enforcement Officer Mr K.G.R.S Gamlath. During the program, the participants were educated on Mines and Minerals (Amendment) act No 66 of 2009, how to inspect the license related to transportation and excavation of Mines and Minerals and its legal background, etc.
A total of 136 Officers and Other Ranks participated the session.
