Soldiers taking a little time off from their routine duties, played a friendly cricket match with the youth of Navatkully village in Jaffna on Sunday, 6th August 2023. Jaffna youth defeated the Army boys and the two teams shared lunch offered by the soldiers after the match.
The encounter conducted with the sole intention of developing the good relationship between the military and the people of the area was organized by the troops of the 11th Field Sri Lanka Engineers with the blessings of the Commander Security Forces Jaffna Major General SRK Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP psc ndu and the instructions of the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division and Brigade Commander 523 Infantry Brigade.
