Vesak Pandols and Lanterns along with colourful decorations were displayed in front of the Division Headquarters at Mirusuvil by all under command establishments of 52 Infantry Division on Vesak Full Moon Poya Day.
As per the direction of the General Officer Commanding, Major General KPSA Fernando the best Vesak Pandols were selected by an independent board and awarded with cash prices for the first three places. Accordingly, the 1st Place received to 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, 2nd Place - 11 Field Regiment Sri Lanka Engineers and the 3rd Place - 15 (V) Gajaba Regiment.
All Ranks of the 52 Infantry Division participated in the above event.
