As per the conceptual guidance of the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Swarna Bothota, a volleyball tournament was organizedfor the purpose of hearteningteam-building, personal connection and increase the overall performance among troops. The final tussle was held on 20th March 2023 at the Gymnasium, Security Forces Headquarters(Jaffna).
A total number of 21volleyball teams striven in the tournament until the finalists, 4thSri Lanka Corps of Military Police and 10 Field Engineer Regiment were selected to face the final encounter, in which the 4thSri Lanka Corps of Military Police became the Champions in men’s category.In women’s category, 7th Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps won the Campions’ Trophy and 6thRegiment Sri Lanka Army Signal Corps were the runner-up.
Major General Swarna Bothota, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated for the certificate awarding ceremony whilst providing their maximum support and blessings for the success of the volleyball tournament.
