Colonel Suresh Radalage of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry assumed duties as the 19th Brigade Commander of the 552 Infantry Brigade on 22 February 2023 in a formal ceremony. The newly - appointed Brigade Commander was warmly welcomed in a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the Brigade Headquarters.
The new Brigade Commander took over duties signing an official document amid religious observances of all faiths. He subsequently planted a sapling in the premises to mark the assumption of duties followed by a troop address. Officers and Other Ranks of the 552 Infantry Brigade witnessed the occasion.
