As per the invitation of respective Principals of Jaffna St Henry’s College and its partner school Ilavalai Convent Maha Vidyalayam, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General Swarna Bothota attended the Annual Inter-House Athletic Meet as the Chief Guest. The Annual Inter-House Athletic Meet was held on 18thJanuary 2023 at St Henry’s College, playground.
The Athletic Meet got under way with variety of athletic games including running events (60m, 80m, 100m, 800m, 4x50m, 4x100m, 80m hurdles, 200m, 4x400m relay), old boys’ race, old girls’ race, march past, visitors’ and officials’ race. Winners of each event was awarded with a certificate in appreciation of their talents.
A gathering of distinguished invitees including Dr. K Ketheeswaran, Senior Lecturer of the Sports Science Unit, University of Jaffna, Reverend Father CG Jeyakumar, Dean of Ilavalai Deanery, Professor James Robinson, University of Jaffna, students and parents attended the event, which brought glamour.
