Multi Religious Rituals to Invoke Blessings For 26th Anniversary - 55 Infantry Division

In parallel to 26thAnniversary of 55 Infantry Division, series of multi religious activities had conducted with the participation of General Officer Commanding, Major General Prasanna Gunarathne, Staff Officers and Other Ranks. The religious activities had begun at the most sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi and Ruwan Weli Maha Stupa on 15 December 2022. The event was enriched with the Buddhist rituals and colourful procession up to Udamaluwa for receiving blessings. Furthermore, Bodhi Pooja rituals had also conducted at Division Stupa on 16 December 2022.

In parallel, the Chief Iyyar Mr Kaneshwara Sharma performed Hindu religious rituals at the Mullian Amman Kovil on 17 December 2022.

The Reverend Father Amal Raj performed religious sacraments at Saint Mary's Church on 18 December 2022.
